AI-assisted faceswapping technology has been rippling the corners of the internet recently, and as you may have already guessed it, it's started with porn. Known as deepfakes, people are using the tech to swap the faces of their favorite celebrities into porn scenes, and it can be scarily convincing.

However, using the same tech, we also get some lighthearted content, like this deepfake which plants Donald Trump's face onto Michael Scott from a scene in The Office byDhruv Maheshwariand Jonathan Dubin.

Or Nic Cage starring in every movie he didn't.

At the moment it's pretty easy to spot that this clip of Trump as Scott is most definitely generated by a computer, but what happens when the technology gets better? What happens when it's mixed with technology that manipulates audio?
